Purbo Diganta Foundation presents Matri Rupen Sansthita 2026, a hybrid All India Music Competition and a musical tribute to the late legendary singer Asha Bhosle.

The competition invites singers from across India to showcase their talent through songs performed by Asha Bhosle and devotional songs dedicated to Maa Durga.
Participant categories
- Group A: 7–17 years
- Group B: 17 years and above
Song categories
Participants may perform one of the following:
- Any song performed by Asha Bhosle, including modern or film songs in Bengali or Hindi.
- Any song based on or dedicated to Maa Durga.
Maximum song duration: 3 minutes
Competition format
The competition will be conducted in three rounds.
Round 1 – Online screening
Participants must record and submit their performance video by 22 August 2026.
Five candidates from each group will be selected for the second round.
Round 2 – Offline screening
The second round will be held during the morning session on 26 September 2026.
An offline screening will take place at the venue, after which three candidates from each group will be selected for the Grand Finale.
Candidates selected for Round 2 will receive guidance from a mentor and an opportunity to practise with the event musicians before performing on stage.
Selected candidates must also submit the names of at least two songs in advance for preparation by the musicians.
Grand Finale – Offline
The Grand Finale will be held during the evening session on 26 September 2026 at Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra Auditorium, Noida.
Video submission guidelines
- Participants may use up to two musical instruments while recording their videos.
- Participants may use light musical or karaoke accompaniment.
- Before beginning the song, participants must introduce themselves by stating their name, group and place.
- The judges’ decision will be final and cannot be changed.
Travel and accommodation support
Purbo Diganta Foundation will sponsor the following for each selected candidate and one accompanying person:
- Third AC train fare
- Accommodation
- Meals
- Stay for 2 nights and 3 days
